art in real life

Welcome to my blog.

I'm mortally afraid of being bored.  I like to write about learning, making, science-ing, thinking, and creating.

Teachers: Dodgeball Players for Life

I have been been a teacher and administrator in K-12 schools for more than 15 years.  And I have worked with so many talented teachers.  Recently, Brad Montague (the adult behind the camera filming Kid President), posted a call for gratitude (my word, not his).  He asked people to think of one person to thank, write their name down on a piece of paper and post it online.

Well..... my brain literally almost exploded (into a bunch of glittering hearts).  Frankly, I believe that my life is a million interconnected fibers forming a tapestry of interactions and experiences that I have had with others.

Of course, when it comes to gratitude, I had to thank teachers first. And since there are truly too many teachers in my life to make signs for, I had to make this video to thank everyone.

Thank you to all of the amazing teachers from whom I have learned. You are extraordinary, and you truly keep the world going round n' round!

Also, thank you also to Brad and Kristi Montague for getting me to think about gratitude.  Find their call for public gratitude here: Because You Were. Now, it's your turn! Go out and tell someone how they positively affected your life!
